Route 66: Great! American! Road Trip!
Route 66 is nostalgic, kitschy Americana…diners, mom and pop motels and roadside attractions, held together by the grit of small town Americans facing severe economic decline since the decommissioning of the route in 1985. 2026 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of Route 66 and will be the culmination of my long-term photo documentary of the route from Chicago to Los Angeles.
